While at the reunion, Ray sees a couple of his old friends, Scott and Warren. Debra then finds out exactly how dorky and boring Ray and his friends were as kids when they start telling stupid stories from their past.
Debra quickly befriends the other classmates, the ones who were popular back in school. And Ray is again left out of all the fun because he's still the dorky one.
The next day, back at home, the rest of his family gives him a hard time about not being popular in school.
Ray's personality, compared to other characters, is always dorky and boring. But it's the main focus of this episode.
This is also the first episode where the audience sees that Robert loves to dance.
In a scene taking place in the kitchen, while Debra and Robert dance, Ray bumps the milk carton, spilling milk all over the table. It's unknown whether that was actually supposed to happen or not. The spilled milk also magically disappears after they dance.
Marie is seen walking outside in the backyard through the kitchen window but does not enter Raymond's house until much after.
This episode has a lot of music in it. "Funky Town" by Lipps Inc. is playing while the characters are at the reunion. "Ring My Bell" by Anita Ward, "(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty" by KC and the Sunshine Band, and "The Hustle" by Van McCoy & the Soul City Symphony were all sung by the characters.
There were a few continuity issues with the music. Ray's class graduated in 1977, but "Funky Town" and "Ring My Bell" came out a few years after that.
- Debra: "No, I've never ruptured my booty. One time, I did sprain my groove thing."
