The Lone Barone is the 9th episode of Season 3, and is episode 56 of the full 210 episodes for the entire series. In this episode, Ray tells Robert about the difficult times in marriage, which causes Robert to break up with Amy.

After hearing horror stories from Ray about marriage, Robert freaked out. When Amy realized he was freaking out, she broke up with Robert.
Actress Patricia Heaton was pregnant at the time of filming for this episode, so she did not appear in many of the shots. And when she did, she either wore big, baggy clothing or held an object in front of her to cover up the pregnant belly.
This is also the first time the viewer gets to see Robert's apartment.
The dog Shamsky also makes an appearance.
Actor and comedian Kevin James had recently gotten his own new show, "The King of Queens", on CBS in which he played a delivery man for IPS, the International Parcel Service. In this episode of Everybody Loves Raymond, he guest stars as his character, Doug Heffernan, from "The King of Queens". It was part of a number of cross-over episodes CBS was doing with their primetime sitcoms: Everybody Loves Raymond, The King of Queens, Cosby, The Nanny, and Becker.
