Episode InformationEdit

SynopsisEdit

The episode is a flashback to Ray and Debra's wedding day.

Ray still has doubts that Debra actually wants to marry him. Even after talking to Father Hubley, his parents, and Robert, he still has doubts. So, to calm him down and loosen him up, Frank offers Ray some alcohol to get him through the day.

Running GagsEdit

Robert's "crazy chin" habit makes a prominent appearance in the episode. At the end of his toast to Ray and Debra, he touches the glass to his chin, then takes a drink. So, everyone at the wedding reception does the same.

As with all of Uncle Mel's appearances, he (or his friend) mention that they are not gay.

TriviaEdit

This is the first multi-part episode in the series. The second would be Italy: Part 1 and Part 2. The third is the big fight between Debra and Marie that carries over from Season 6 to Season 7, spanning 4 episodes: Mother's Day, The Bigger Person, The First Time, and The Cult.

Actor Ray Romano's real-life daughter Alexandra Romano makes an uncredited cameo appearance as the Flower Girl. And Ray's real-life father Albert Romano plays the part of Lewis.

Albert Romano is better known for playing the role of Frank's friend Albert, but here, before the character Albert was created, he played Lewis.

QuotesEdit

  • Lewis: "We're not gay."
